With your support, this year our goal is to help 50,000 veterans to get re-acclimated in the society by providing them means to go out and have quality time with friends and family and keep them from feeling isolated. We will be working closely with State Social Services and local veterans associations to locate people who need our help the most.
Your tax deductible donation will help bring lives back to our veterans. With the money you donate we can finally be able to pay back those who make our comfortable and cozy lives possible.
The purpose of this campaign is to offer free safe rides to combat veterans suffering from PTSD or depression so they don’t feel they can’t live the life as they were before their disabilities.
Join hands with Safe Rides for veterans to raise funds and provide them a chance to go out and have a great time with their family and friends in a luxurious vehicle and not having to worry about paying for the ride. This will be helpful for the psychological well-being, rehabilitation of mental health and healing the invisible wounds of our combat veterans.
Our veterans are at high risk for death or injuries. In battlefield, they may see others hurt or dead. They may have to kill or hurt others. These factors can increase their chances of having mental health problems. Studies show most of the combat veterans suffer from PTSD “Post- traumatic stress disorder” and major depression. The symptoms include:
Studies show that one of the most effective ways to overcome PTSD or depression is through talking to others (socializing). They fought for us and now it’s our turn to help them be happy and productive members of our society.
